The Nightshade’s Bold Style Returns To The Corolla Family For 2024, continuing the vehicle’s tradition of oozing flair. The Nightshade edition, based on the SE grade and offered on the Corolla Sedan, Hybrid, and Hatchback, adds a distinctive touch to this feature-rich lineup.

The Nightshade’s striking aesthetic will include accents of black and blacked-out badging. 18-inch wheels with a bronze finish will also be standard, offering a touch of distinction to each model.

This special specification will have a sport mesh gloss-black front grille with blacked-out Toyota emblems up front, while sport side rocker panels painted in black and black-capped heated power outside mirrors are added to the side.

Around the back, there are still more striking embellishments, including lower diffusers, black shark fin antennas, rear lip spoilers, and emblems that have been blacked out. The Hatchback variant adds even more individuality and includes a sizable black Vented Sport Wing and a two-toned roof.

All Corolla Nightshade versions are built on the Toyota New Global Architecture-C platform (TNGA-C). All Corolla models have exceptional handling agility and ride comfort thanks to their super-rigid construction and low center of gravity, a multi-link rear suspension, a normal independent MacPherson-type strut front suspension, and both.

Both front-wheel drive and electronic on-demand all-wheel drive versions of the Corolla Hybrid Nightshade will be offered. When necessary, the system on vehicles with AWD powers the rear wheels using a separate, rear-mounted electric motor.

A 1.8-litre 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve 138-hp engine with two electric motor generators and a combined manufacturer-estimated fuel economy rating of 47 MPG will power all Corolla Hybrid Nightshade versions.

A 2.0-litre 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve 169-hp engine powers the Nightshade-styled Corolla sedan and hatchback versions. Manufacturer estimates for the hatchback and sedan models, respectively, are 35 MPG combined and 34 MPG combined, respectively.

The standard Dynamic Shift continuously variable gearbox from Toyota gives the gas-powered sedan and hatchback a distinctive performance sensation thanks to a gearset utilized as a “first” gear for start-off acceleration before effortlessly switching to the CVT’s pulley system. A linear acceleration feeling is produced when the increasing engine revs and the vehicle speed are synchronized.

The Sports seats with sport fabric inserts, 4.2-inch color Multi-Information Display (MID) with programmable settings, Toyota Audio Multimedia with an eight-inch touchscreen, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 will come standard on all 2024 Corolla Nightshade cars.

Midnight Black Metallic, Classic Silver Metallic, and Ice Cap will be the colors options for the Corolla sedan and Hybrid Nightshade Edition. The Corolla Hatchback Nightshade Edition features two-tone paint schemes: solid Midnight Black Metallic, Classic Silver Metallic, and Windchill Pearl with Midnight Black Metallic Roof.

A JBL® Premium Audio package is available for music lovers and will enhance any playlist. At the same time, the optional SE Premium package boosts safety and convenience with features like Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), as well as a power tilt/slide moon roof with sliding sunshade and a Qi wireless charger inside.

The Corolla lineup has undergone numerous updates for the 2023 model year, including new front fascia and grill designs, redesigned LED headlights, as well as modified rear diffusers and bumper styling across multiple grades of the sedan, hybrid, and hatch models.

The Nightshade Special Editions add even more style to the lineup. In the fall of 2023, Corolla Nightshade vehicles are anticipated to reach Toyota dealerships. The 2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade Special Edition and the entire Corolla lineup (Hybrid, gas, and hatch) will receive further information and pricing later this year.
